Race 1 No. 2 HOOFS DONT LIE- ($3.80)

Sticking with HOOFS DONT LIE in the opener at Cranbourne. The Ben & JD Hayes-trained galloper just missed out for us at Moe when resuming over the 1100m on December 9. He led them up that day before being run down late by Bahamia Bay, going 1.2 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is nine lengths better than what any runner in this race has produced. He was an improver second up on figures last time before being gelded. The son of Shalaa has attracted support in early markets and can go very close to breaking through.

Race 4 No. 9 CRIMSON LIGHT- ($3.80)

CRIMSON LIGHT can be an improver in Race 4 of the evening at Cranbourne. The four-year-old from the Michael Kent stable has had just the two career runs and ran on well for 4th on debut at Cranbourne over the 1400m before producing what was a bit of a forget run at Moonee Valley on December 9 when 5th to Lady Jones over the 1600m. She was slowly away that evening and held up in the straight but went 0.9 lengths slower than standard, which is inferior only to Bob The Horse, who comes out of the sam race. With better luck this time around, she should be ready to fire at her third career start.

Race 6 No. 4 SIX FEET- ($7.50)

Race 6 of the evening is a BenchMark 64 and MADAME BOLLI will be hard to beat back in this grade. The four-year-old resumed at the track and trip in a BM 70 on November 25, leading before just being grabbed late by the Cotel. She will strip fitter for this assignment and seems to save her best for tight turning tracks. Look for her to lead and take some running down.
