Race 6 No. 3 TESER- ($2.20)

TESER should be hard to beat in Race 6 of the evening. The Greg Eurell-trained galloper narrowly missed over the 1400m here two starts ago behind A Pinch Of Luck when overcoming traffic in the straight then closed off well at Sandown behind Suparazi on December 14, missing out by just under a length when 4th. The son of Reset has been strong late in his races and the step to the 1600m should suit.

Race 7 No. 2 TWIGGY POP- ($10)

Best Value comes up in Race 7 and it is TWIGGY POP that can go close at the each-way quote. The Colin Scott-trained galloper just needs to start a bit more cleanly than what he has at his past couple that have seen him finish 5th at both Moonee Valley and Sandown. Last time out he botched the start before settling back in a slowly run affair, making good ground from the 600m to the 200m before the lack of early tempo counted against. This looks slightly easier and he was solid at this stage of his last preparation with a win at Pakeneham.
