BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)

Race 8 No. 3 FASUTO – ($2.40)

We close off with a 0-64 over the 1000m journey and FASUTO can be an improver after finishing 5th behind the flying galloper, What You Need at Flemington on March 11. He settled up front in that race before fading late. Look for him to cross over from the wide barrier, while he will strip fitter for this assignment. The Clinton McDonald-trained galloper comes in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner and is capable of building on that.

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN)

Race 6 No.6 HOPKINS- ($3.60)

This might be one for HOPKINS to chalk up his first win in just under a year. The five-year-old didn’t enjoy much luck here two starts ago over the 1600m before stepping out at Moonee Valley on March 24 and finishing 4th behind Golden Crusader. He settled back that night and reeled off the fastest late splits to finish just over a length away. The five-year-old has a good record at the track and trip with a win and a placing from three starts and looks ready.

Race 7 No. 4 RAKOMELO- ($5.50)

RAKOMELO can chalk up another win when her steps out in Race 7. The Godolphin galloper scored when resuming over the 1200m at Kembla Grange and has been close up at his past two. He last stepped out at Sandown over the 1300m on March 15 and settled handy before going down late to Ice Pick Nick, placing 3rd. The son of Lonhro went a healthy 7.7 lengths faster than standard benchmark in that race and this looks easier.
