BEST BET 🏆 EACH-WAY
Race 9: No.5 BUNDYANDCOKE ($8.00 with bet365)
Sunshine Coast galloper BUNDYANDCOKE is third-up today and looks ready to strike. Last start, the Shamus Award gelding was trapped wide most of the way when he finished well enough to take home third prize in a Class 5 Hcp over 1200m at Eagle Farm. He ran that trip out, 2 lengths quicker than benchmark, second-best behind Perseids here (who sees the track for the first time, carrying top weight today). The five-year-old boasts five podium finishes here from 13 appearances and is a two-time winner at the track and trip. Third-up and even fitter today, he has Tegan Harrison on board who boasts two wins and four minor placed finishes with the gelding from ten previous rides. There are enough boxes ticked here to suggest he is a genuine winning chance and is well worth an each-way ticket today.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 2: No.10 HABEEBATI ($1.95 with bet365)
Having her first start for the Lee Freedman stable today, HABEEBATI is fresh off a an eight-week let-up and looks set to play a major role in the outcome here. Having her last run for the Team Snowden stable, she beat all but one home in a 1200m Maiden at Pakenham. Finishing strongly that day, she arrived one stride too late and had to settle for second prize. She has run in two trials since arriving in QLD, winning both of them. The I am Invincible filly has finished second in all three runs over today’s trip and with that freshen-up, she should go well here today.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 5: No.6 TERANGA ($7 with Palmerbet)
The O’Dea & Hoysted-trained TERANGA is third-up today and ticks enough boxes here to be considered a major contender for the top prize. Last start, the Sebring mare made the step up to the mile when second-up and had no luck when finishing mid-field in the BM72 Hcp on this track. She strips fitter for today’s contest and is already a winner here over the mile trip. Four starts here have resulted in a win and two runner-up finishes with Jaden Lloyd aboard on each occasion. She won third-up last preparation and has Lloyd sticking with her for this contest. Carrying less weight today, she can figure in the finish here.
