Race 7:  No.2  ALL THAT PIZZAZZ  ($6 with Palmerbet)

Another from the Gollan stable here is ALL THAT PIZZAZZ who is in top-shelf form and second-up here looks a genuine threat in this line-up. Last start, the Spirit Of Boom gelding was first-up after almost six months off the scene when he beat all but the smart Orbisyn home in a BM85 Hcp over 1110m at Doomben. Ben Thompson rode him a treat but spotting Orbisyn six lengths on straightening proved too big a mountain to climb as he crossed the line just one length in arrears. Already a two-time winner when second-up and a winner at the track, from gate one, expect plenty of improvement from the four-year-old here.

Race 4:  No.5  COUP DE TONNERRE  ($5.50 with Bet Right)

The Tony Gollan-trained COUP DE TONNERRE is three starts back from a five-month break and with gear changes here, looks set to produce his best. Last start, the Irish-bred galloper wasn’t disgraced when finishing fifth (beaten 1.5 lengths) in a BM70 Hcp over 2000m at Doomben. He hasn’t been far away in his last couple and the stable have removed the nose roll and put the blinkers on for the first time. Hs is a winner over the journey and has placed twice at the track in four starts here. Ben Thompson is back aboard for his third ride on the six-year-old who steps-up in grade here but drops 2.5kgs in weight. Fitter for those three runs, he should be at his peak here and looks in the mix.

Race 3:  No.4  LUCKY EXCHANGE  ($6.75 with Bet Right)

The Kelly Schweida-trained LUCKY EXCHANGE is three starts into this preparation and should be ready to produce his best here. Last start, the Divine Prophet gelding wasn’t too far away when finishing fifth (of 11) in a NMW Hcp over the mile at Doomben. Yet to see the Eagle Farm track, he welcomes back James Orman who has steered him to victory twice previously from his six rides on the galloper. Fourth-up and at his peak here, he should be thereabouts when it matters most.
