Race 5: No.5 KRONENBOURG ($2.90 with Ladbrokes)
The Tony Gollan-trained KRONENBOURG has stronger claims than his stablemate (Fifth Position) here and looks well placed to bring up his sixth career victory. Last start, the Vadamos gelding made four wins from his past five starts when he proved too good in a BM80 over 1625m at Toowoomba. That also made it four victories from five rides for James Orman who remains the pilot for this assignment. He steps-up a little in trip but is in career-best form and already a winner at the Farm, he looks the one to beat here.

Race 4: No.2 BOOMING LAD ($4 with Bet Right)
The Chris Anderson-trained BOOMING LAD is third-up here and looks in great shape for back-to-back wins. Last start, the Spirit Of Boom colt was having just his third race start when he broke through for his maiden win over 1350m at Doomben. With Ben Thompson aboard, he settled mid-field and finished best to claim the major prize. Thompson sticks with him here and ideally drawn in gate two, he will take beating again.

Race 6: No.11 STORM THE FORTRESS ($9 with Neds)
Team Edmonds saddle-up STORM THE FORTRESS here who ticks enough boxes to suggest he is a big chance to upset the more popular runners in this contest. Last start, the Invader gelding resumed off a lengthy 37-week absence and wasn’t disgraced when beating all but one home in a Class 4 over 1200m at Doomben. James Orman was aboard that day, having already ridden the four-year-old to two of his three career wins to date. Orman sticks with him as he makes his track debut here and the stable remove the blinkers for the first time. Already a winner when second-up, he looks well worth an each-way ticket in this event.
