BEST BET 🏆

Race 3:  No.2  DRIVE A DEEL  ($6 with Ladbrokes)

The Robert Heathcote-trained DRIVE A DEEL is three starts into this preparation and should now be ready to produce her best. Last start, the Dundeel mare put in her best effort this time in when she beat all but one home in a Class 6 over 1350m at Doomben. She spotted the leader/winner (The Face), far too much start and on the turn, was still eight lengths in arrears. Martin Harley got her going in the run home where she managed to take more than seven lengths off that lead and did well to take home second prize that day. She jumps up to her ‘pet’ distance here where she is already a five-time winner and with no ‘Face’ to chase home, she looks the one they have to hold out here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5:  No.8  PERFECT MISSION  ($3.05 with BoomBet)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up PERFECT MISSION here who has made a flying start to her racing career and looks the one to beat in this contest. Last start, the daughter of The Mission was second-up when she came from behind to take out a BM80 Hcp over 1110m at Doomben. Bailey Wheeler rode her a treat that day and runs the show again for this assignment. Ideally drawn in gate four and already a winner when third-up, this looks the perfect test for him.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.2  FLASHING STEEL  ($11 with Bet Right )

Another from the Annabel Neasham stable is FLASHING STEEL who is second-up here and more than capable of figuring in this contest. Last start, the Not A Single Doubt gelding was clearly in need of the run and despite riding tactics changing, he settled at the rear and there he remained, passing just one in the run home when contesting a BM78 Hcp over 1200m at Rosehill. He will strip fitter here as his resume shows he has four podium finishes from as many second-up appearances. Bailey Wheeler has the reins and with a trouble-run here, he looks sensational value and well worth an each-way ticket.
