Race 10:  No.9  FREEDOM RALLY  ($1.95 with Bet Right)

Tony Gollan saddles-up his best winning chance here with FREEDOM RALLY out to keep his track record intact and record his fifth win here in six starts at Eagle Farm. Last start, the Rubick gelding took on Open company and fared well when he beat all but one home in the 1350m event. He did a lot of work early, recovering from the bad draw (gate 10 of 15) and was beaten less than a length on the line. Ben Thompson is unbeaten on the four-year-old (boasting three wins) and returns for this assignment. He gets gate five here and maps to settle in the first half-dozen, with cover this time. With just a little luck in finding the gaps as they appear, he can finish over the top of them and here and collect the major prize again.

Race 7:  No.9  BLACK ON BEAUTY  ($3.60 with bet365)

The Tony Gollan-trained BLACK ON BEAUTY resumes here off a six-month absence but boasting a strong fresh record, she can bring up the hat-trick in this event. Last start, the Zoustar mare ended her last preparation by going back-to-back and taking out a Class 6, here over 1200m with Angela Jones aboard. The made it two-straight for her as well. The five-year-old is a first-up specialist, winning two of her previous first-up appearances and she is unbeaten in two starts at the track and distance. She has drawn wide (in gate 10) but has plenty of early gate speed which sees he mapping to settle in the first half-dozen. With a trouble-free run here and Angela Jones sticking with her, three-in-a-row is very much on the cards.

Race 5:  No.10  MOKTAFFY  ($13 with bet365)

The Chris Waller-trained MOKTAFFY has been in good touch of late and ticks enough boxes here to be considered a winning chance in this contest. Last start, the Lope De Vega gelding came off a big win at Doomben in Class 2 company when he stepped up in grade and had excuses when finishing mid-field in a BM75, here over the mile. He drew the outside gate (12) that day and taken back to settle at the rear. He gave them too much start but passed several on the way to the line. James Orman was aboard that day and has the job again for this assignment. Far better drawn in gate four here, he maps to settle much closer and already a winner at the track and distance, he can bounce back here and claim a fourth career-victory at juicy odds.
