NAICONI can kick off her campaign with a win. The filly from the Tony McEvoy camp has has had three starts for two runner-up performances to kick off her debut campaign before not much went right at Listed level at Morphettville back in April. Her best performance was arguably on debut at Ballarat when runner-up behind Crosswinds, who then went on to claim the St Albans Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley ahead of Nanagui. The blinkers come off and the daughter of Nicconi should enjoy a nice time of it from barrier 6.

Race 4 No. 10 QURAYSHA- ($2.40)
AMABUTHO can strike at his third run back from a spell. The three-year-old looks like he is craving the step up to the 2000m and was just warming up when resuming with a 6th behind Artzino at Sandown before producing the fastest last 200m when 5th behind Bostock Raider at Geelong over the 1765m on September 29. The son of Zululand comes in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner and gets the blinkers for the first time.

Race 8 No. 4 AMEGDUL- ($5.50)
Best Value comes up in Race 8 and it is AMEGDUL that can just about make it back to back wins after scoring at Wangaratta on October 2. The former Godolphin galloper was transferred to the Dan McCarthy yard and scored at his new home after leading all the way, holding off Kore, while there was a big gap back to 3rd.He went 0.8 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is 5.5 lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. He has some excellent Soft track form and can measure up to the rise in grade.
