Mark Currie saddles-up TURBOART here who is third-up today and makes his Gatton debut. Last start, the Well-bred Flying Artie gelding showed a ton of improvement from his first-up effort when he beat all but one home in a BM70 over 870m at Toowoomba. Settling just off the pace, he finished strongly but was beaten a whisker on the line. Well drawn today in gate three, he maps to settle in the first half dozen and has Boris Thornton in the saddle for the first time. The extra distance looks ideal now and with a clear crack at them, he can give this contest a real shake.

Race 6: No.6 MANDALAY BLONDE ($3.70 with Ladbrokes)
Toowoomba galloper MANDALAY BLONDE has managed three podium finishes without winning this preparation but that can all change in this contest today. Last start, the Mahisara mare settled too far back at Kilcoy, giving herself no chance of victory down the short home straight but still managed to beat all but one home in a BM0-58 Hcp over 1200m. Emily Lang retains the ride today and on the bigger Gatton track, the mare looks more at home, having won here previously. From gate one, she maps to settle better than midfield and with a trouble-free run, she break the shackles today and bring up career-win number two here.

Race 4: No.3 I AM FEARLESS ($6 with Palmerbet)
The Glenn Richardson-trained I AM FEARLESS has been knocking on the door this preparation and this contest looks right up his alley today. Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding took on a strong Class 3 field at the Sunshine Coast where he had no luck (in a small field), finishing just behind the placegetters that day. Back in distance here, this looks a bit easier and Les Tilley has the reins for the first time. He gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle near the speed early. Unbeaten over the distance, he looks all set to bounce back here and bring up win number one this time in.
