The Les Ross-trained MISHANI ESPRIT is back at her best now and looks every chance to go on with it here. Last start, the Bel Esprit mare was third start back from a spell when she took out a BM60 Hcp over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast. She ran the last 600m out, 4.2 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. She also recorded the fastest final 600m and 400m sectionals as well. Jason Taylor remains aboard and from an ideal draw in gate two today, she should prove hard to beat here.

Race 8 : No. 7 MARCADA ($6.50 with Palmerbet)

Toowoomba galloper MARCADA has found her mojo once again and looks well placed here to continue on her winning way. Last start, the Unencumbered mare put her best foot forward and destroyed her rivals in a BM55 Hcp over 1350m at Warwick. She ran her last 600m, half a length slower than benchmark, still the best effort in this line-up. She jumps from gate four today and maps to settle better than mid-field with cover. Robbie Fradd has his first ride on the mare today and up against similar company here, she looks a real chance of victory.

Race 6 : No. 8 MORNAY ($12 with BlueBet)

The Barry Baldwin-trained MORNAY has improved with each start this time in and looks well placed here to give this a shake at odds today. Last start, the Unencumbered mare finished just behind the placegetters in a strong Class 4 Hcp over 1000m at Eagle Farm. She ran a new personal best that day, covering the trip, 1.8 lengths slower than benchmark, also the best among these. Robbie Fradd has the reins today and ideally drawn in gate three, the mare looks a genuine chance of making her track debut a winning one here.
