Race 4: No.2 BID IN A HURRY ($5 with bet365)
Local galloper BID IN A HURRY is in a purple patch of form right now and the right boxes are ticked here for it to continue today. Last start, the All Too Hard mare came off consecutive runner-up finishes where she went one better at the Gold Coast and took out a BM0-62 over 1100m with Michael Murphy aboard. The track was a Soft 7 for that race (then downgraded to a Heavy 8 for the remaining races). That was her first win in 14 starts on a rain-affected track. Her dry track form boasts four wins and five minor placings and with a Good 4 forecast today, she should be in her element. Murphy sticks with her here and already a two-winner both over the trip and on this track, she looks the one to beat again.

Race 7: No.5 SPIRIT’S CHARM ($4.80 with Ladbrokes)
In an open affair here we are running with Toowoomba galloper SPIRIT’S CHARM who is three starts into this preparation and should be ready to win. Last start, the SPIRIT OF BOOM mare found the Class 4 opposition just a little too strong as she finished unplaced at the Sunshine Coast, beaten 2.5 lengths on the line. She still managed to cover the final 600m, 1.6 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best on this field. She should find this contest a little easier as Robbie Fradd sticks with her today. Fourth-up and fitter for this, she is already a track and distance winner and looks well placed here to turn things around.

Race 8: No.8 ROSE OF TAORMINA ($6 with bet365)
Ipswich galloper ROSE OF TAORMINA is in good touch this time in and with a recent win on this track, looks a real threat in this contest. Two starts back, the Your Song mare took out a BM55 Hcp, here over 1400m then followed that up last start by finishing third at Warwick in a Class 2 Plate over the 1350m trip. Lightly-raced she has had just the nine starts with two wins and three minor placings resulting from them to date. Michael Murphy was aboard for her last two runs and remains in the saddle today. This is no harder than her past two starts and with a trouble-free run today, she looks right in the mix at odds.
