Race 1 No. 8 DIVINE JOURNEY – ($2.70)
Wayne Francis & Glen Kent would seem to have at least most of the better chances covered in the first with DIVINE JOURNEY. Their mare is edging closer to notching that first win on the board and has drawn to receive a treat from Barend Vorster. Should expect Always Sometimes and Hugowego to roll forward, and they’re both horses that Divine Journey has covered in the past. If we were to look outside the formline then perhaps Bugatti Gold is one on the improve. Let’s not complicate a dour maiden though; Divine Journey hails from a strong team while jumping from a high percentage gate and carrying a high percentage rider.

Race 6 No. 6 ANOTHER FREE GLASS – ($4.80)
Naracoorte Trainers Sue & Jason Jaensch are bound to have ANOTHER FREE GLASS set to peak fourth-up on Wednesday. The horse was characteristically slow into stride when resuming over 1350m before finding his stride late at Strathalbyn. Always back at his next start over a mile there before showing improvement last start in Murray Bridge. Barend Vorster gave Another Free Glass time to find his feet with the horse doing his best work late. That was over 1800 metres in a race where they didn’t go hard with Frankel Star proving too strong. Looking for this trip now and will be hard to hold out.

Race 5 No. 8 SEAFARING – ($8)
Jeez we were stiff to be beaten when backing SEAFARING here two starts ago. That was at metro-level over this track and trip in what looked a harder race on paper. Seafaring was our Best Bet at $8.50 when we were in a rut and losing a few photos. We thought Jake Toeroek might be able to push into a forward position, unfortunately Seafaring couldn’t respond early. He gave us a lovely ride between horses only to strike a wayward galloper in Pandemic laying around in front of him. We actually thought he’d won and here’s an opportunity to get that win back while paying a similar quote.
