JENNIFERENTI can go on with the job in Race 5 of the day at Geelong. The Maher/Eustace galloper was an improver at her last preparation and resumed in a BenchMark 58 at Terang over the 1600m on January 2, running home from the tail to defeat Rapinoe by a length, while there was a three length gap back to the 3rd horse. She should take improvement off that run and the slight step up in distance will suit. John Allen rides and the pair draw barrier 4.

Race 2 No. 8 MEMPHIS SHADOW – ($4.40)
Some unknowns here with three first starters in action but MEMPHIS SHADOW has the pick of the exposed form and can go close at his third career start. The Tony Noonan-trained galloper closed off well on debut to finish runner-up behind Proprietary at Mornington and has since closed off solidly for 3rd at Sandown behind Attrition over the 1400m. He went 0.1 lengths slower than standard, which is well above the class average and indicates that a win shouldn’t be too far away. He has the fitness in the tank now and should be strong late in the piece.
