Race 1:  No.5  SAVANACI  ($3.20 with bet365)

The Annabel Neasham-trained SAVANACI didn’t take long to learn what it’s all about and looks all set here for back-to-back wins today. Last start, the Tivaci mare won her first race when she took out a Class 1/Maiden Plate over the mile at Scone. With Alysha Collett on board, she travelled three-wide without cover after drawing wide (8 of 9) and despite having a Heavy 9 to deal with, she still finished best to win by a length on the line. Collett sticks with her today where she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be box-seating on settling. The job of winning here has become that much easier with the scratching of Monastery who was a leading contender. She looks the pick of the crop here.

Race 8:  No.9  CHANGE IS COMING  ($2.30 with bet365)

The Bjorn Baker-trained CHANGE IS COMING is first-up today and looks all set to live up to his name after a couple of recent trials. The Capitalist gelding ended his last (three-start) preparation with a win in a Bathurst Maiden over 1100m, putting almost two lengths on them that day. He was then spelled and returned to work earlier this month with two trial runs. He finished second in his first trail (on his home track at Warwick Farm), then trialled there again two weeks later where he gapped them over 800m, crossing the line almost 10 lengths ahead of the other seven runners. There is plenty of early speed here and from gate five, Kerrin McEvoy looks to have options on where to settle him. If he has clean air available in the run home, they may find it hard to hold him out on fresh legs.

Race 2:  No.2  MY ELOISE  ($2.40 with Palmerbet)

Trained at Warwick Farm by Joe Pride, MY ELOISE has returned to the track in top-shelf form and looks all set to go on with it today. Last start, the Capitalist mare was fresh off a 17-week break when she gave her supporters (at $1.75) no cause for alarm as she claimed first prize in a Hawkesbury Maiden over 1100m. In a scintillating performance, the four-year-old clobbered her seven rivals that day, putting almost three lengths on them over the line. She ran the trip out, 2.2 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field by more than 3 lengths, also setting a new personal best. She also clocked the fastest final 800m, 600m and 400m sectionals for the race. Alysha Collett is in line for a race-to-race double as she is legged aboard the mare for the second time (having finished second here with her in a Maiden three starts back). With a trouble-free run today, she will take beating.
