Local galloper, CASH IS QUEEN, is unbeaten this time in and returning to her home track today, looks a good chance to bring up the hat-trick here. Last start, the Astern filly came off an impressive Maiden win at Moruya when she franked that effort at Albury, claiming victory in a BM50 Hcp over 900m. From the outside gate (11), she crossed and took-up the front running and that was the end of the section. She led them all a merry dance and went on to claim victory by more than three lengths on the line. Winning form is good form and surely just bad luck beats her here.

Warwick Farm galloper, TRUE VALENTINE, comes off a first-up win today and ticks enough boxes here to suggest she is a major player (at odds) for this event. Last start, the Toronado mare was fresh off a 20-week absence when she came from behind to claim victory in a Class 2 contest over 1100m at Bathurst. She ran her last 600m, 5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort here by 4 lengths. She also recorded the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Today she has drawn the fence and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with cover.
