Race 7:  No.9  POLARISING 

Eagle Farm visitor, POLARISING comes south of the border and second-up today looks set for back-to-back victories here. Last start, the Pariah mare faced her first heavy track and handled the conditions with ease, winning a 1200m Maiden at the Sunshine Coast. Boris Thornton rode her a treat and it was just hands and heels to the winning post that day. She steps-up in grade today as Ben Looker takes the reins for this assignment. Ideally drawn in gate three, the four-year-old maps to settle just behind the speed. With a clear run to the line, she will be doing her best work late and should prove hard to beat.

Race 2:  No.5  SUBVERSIVE

Local trainer, Jason Reilly saddles-up SUBVERSIVE here who is in great touch this time in and looks a serious player in this contest. Last start, the Dissident mare came off a big win (on this track) when she tackled similar BM58 company here but could only manage third place that day over 2120m. Cobi Vitler returns today for this assignment after steering her home two starts back. She maps to settle mid-field again and will be at her peak now after five starts in this campaign. A track and distance winner now, she can bounce back here and take home the chocolates today.

Race 8:  No.5  EAGLE HAWK STAR

The Stephen Lee-trained EAGLE HAWK STAR is third-up today and looks ready to strike in this contest. Last start, the Star Turn gelding showed plenty of improvement when he made his Grafton debut and arrived in time to take home third prize in a Class 4 Hcp over 1181m. Slowly away, he recovered enough to settle mid-field and made up more ground in the run home, finishing two lengths from the winner. Down a little in weight today, Matty McGuren returns for his second ride on the galloper where he maps to settle near mid-field, jumping from barrier eight. With a trouble-free run today, and a touch of luck in the run home, he can take this out.
