Race 3 No. 2 CHRONIC STRIFE – ($3.80)

CHRONIC STRIFE shapes as an early winner on the Hamilton programme. The four-year-old has had four starts for a minor placing at Coleraine two starts ago before heading to Bendigo and placing 4th on the Heavy going over the 1600m behind Max Mercury. She should strike similar conditions and should find this slightly easier. John Allen rides and will give her every possible chance from barrier 3.

Race 8 No. 10 LINDELANI – ($4.40)

We close off with a BenchMark 58 over the 2224m journey and LINDELANI should be suited by the rise up in trip. The six-year-old was well beaten in a BenchMark 64 at Sale on September 1 but didn’t really have much of a chance after settling back on the slow tempo, before making up some ground late in the piece to run 6th. At her last preparation she was runner-up at Sale in a BM64 when stepping up to the distance at this stage before claiming a 2400m race later on. She has attracted support in the early betting for this race and might settle a little closer this time around.

Race 5 No. 4 DELIGHTFUL SCOOP – ($20)

Best Value comes up in Race 5 and it is the eight-year-old, DELIGHTFUL SCOOP, that is worth thought at the each-way quote. He has had two runs this time in and scored at Coleraine on August 14 in a 0-58 Highweight Handicap. Form has held up with the 3rd place getter coming out and winning, while he went a healthy 2.4 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which stack up very well if he can reproduce that again.
