Race 4 No. 1 LANI BANG BANG – ($2.80)
LANI BANG BANG gets her chance to land an overdue win in Race 4. The Luke Oliver-trained galloper is likely to get her favoured Heavy surface here and had her last start at Moe on a Heavy 9, finishing 3rd behind Little Max in a 0-58 race. Prior to that she was 4th at Wodonga. In her most recent run, the daughter of Reward For Effort settled just worse than midfield before producing the fastest late splits. She should be within striking distance from barrier 6 and does look to have an edge on these.

Race 6 No. 4 GOLIOTUS – ($3.60)
We stretch out over the 2224m and GOLIOTUS should find this easier than recent runs. The five-year-old was placed in two straight BenchMark 64 races over the 1700m at Warrnambool before sticking to that grade and finishing 4th behind Golden Crusader at Sandown on August 7. That came over the 2100m and he stuck on in solid fashion to three lengths slower than standard, which will stack up very well against this lot. Heavy ground is a big bonus and he will be close up in the run from barrier 5.
