BEST BET 🏆

Race 7:  No.2  HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE  ($1.90)

John Size saddles-up HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE here who has put four-straight podium finishes together now and looks all but certain to ring-up another one here. Last start, the Deep Field gelding did it so easy with Karis Teetan working him into the box seat on settling. Straightening-up, he peeled off the leaders heels, drew alongside him, then shot away to win by two lengths, eased before the line. He ran that out, 6.6 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field by more than 2 lengths and set a new personal best as well. He ran the fastest final 800m and 400m sectionals for the race. He meets similar company here over the same trip and is perfectly drawn again in gate two. He has 2.5kgs more to carry tonight, but going on the ease of his last success, he should still be saluting here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 9:  No.2  NIMBLE NIMBUS  ($3.80 with bet365)

The Ricky Yui-trained NIMBLE NIMBUS is in outstanding form this preparation and as a track and distance specialist, he will take beating here tonight. Last start, the Sacred Falls gelding was joined by Hugh Bowman for the first time when he clobbered a Class 3 field, here over the 1650m trip. He ran that out, 4 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up. Tonight, Bowman sticks with him as he faces similar company over the mile again and with just 1kg extras to carry, he should prove hard to keep out.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.7  G ONE EXCELLENT  ($3.60 with Palmerbet)

The Danny Shum-trained G ONE EXCELLENT is in career-best form this time in and looks all set here to continue with the good work tonight and bring up the hat-trick. Last start, the Makfi gelding made it back-to-back wins when he arrived in time to take out a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1000m. Ridden a treat by Vince Ho, he settled second-last, eight off the pace with Ho keeping him glued to the fence before the turn. He then came off heels and down the middle of track, he had clean air and running room where he ran them down to claim victory with plenty in hand. He ran the last 600m, 6.2 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort here and posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals as well. Meeting similar company tonight over the same track and trip, he looks the one to beat again.
