Gold Coast galloper EURO BELLE saves her best for the Ipswich track and second-up today looks poised for another victory here. Last start, the Eurozone mare was fresh off a lengthy seven-month absence when she showed a lack of race fitness was no issue when taking out a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1200m. Her return to racing was complimented by posting the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals while running her last 600m, 7.3 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. While her resume is an attractive one, her rider, James Orman holds an even better write-up which shows his seven previous rides on the mare resulted in three wins and four minor money finishes, thus not missing a podium finish to date. He is back aboard today and from gate four, she gets the run of race here and looks set to bring up win number three at Ipswich.

Race 6:  No.4  HALFAHOPE  ($3.50 with BlueBet)

The Chris Anderson-trained HALFAHOPE carried our money at the Sunshine Coast last start but could only grab second prize that day but gets his chance here to go one better. Last start, the Outreach gelding was three starts into this preparation and was ideally placed in that BM58 Hcp, however just found one better on the day when he was second past the post in the 1200m event. Marnu Potgieter was aboard for that ride and is back for this contest. He gets the gun-run from gate one today and maps to be box-seating on settling. In great touch this time in, he looks well placed here to get the cash today.

Race 4:  No.3  MEMOIRE PARFAIT  ($6 with Palmerbet)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up MEMOIRE PARFAIT here and second-up today, he can give this a real shake. Last start, the Tavistock gelding resumed off an 18-week absence when he took on Class 2 Hcp, here over the mile and finished fifth, beaten less than three lengths on the line. Having just his sixth race-start, he set a new personal best, running the trip, 4 lengths slower than benchmark which is 2 lengths better than his opposition here. Steph Thornton has been aboard for four of his races and sticks with him here. He has drawn wide today so the jury is out as to what tactics Neasham will set form. He maps to settle on speed but that may change today. Either way, expect improvement as he steps up in distance while dropping in grade.
