Race 4: No.1 ORBISYN ($1.85 with Unibet)
The David Vandyke-trained ORBISYN resumes today off a 17-week spell and should be winning here. In his first preparation, the Rich Enuff gelding knocked-up four-straight wins before hitting the paddock for a spell. He returned 12 months later where two starts sawn him finish unplaced and then third in a strong Class 6, here over 1100m. He now returns after another lengthy break but did trial four weeks ago, coming away with a win at the Sunshine Coast, in the hands of Paul Hamblin. He is already a winner when first-up and has Hamblin in the saddle again. Also a winner at the track, he looks better than these and with a clear run today, should get the job done.

Team Edmonds saddle-up OUR CALANTHA here who is unbeaten in two starts and looks a real chance at the hat-trick today. The El Roca gelding debuted as a two-year-old back in May 2020 where he comfortably won the 1000m event, then was sent to the paddock. Last start, he resumed from that run (more than two years later) and on very fresh legs, took out a BM0-62 over 1100m on a heavy Gold Coast track, crossing the line a length ahead of the field. Today, Andrew Mallyon sticks with him where he is expected to cross and find a sit in the first half-dozen. He looks a promising type who can keep the momentum going here and retain that unbeaten title.
