Toowoomba-based CHASING JACKLEY has his first look at the Kilcoy track today and looks well placed for back-to-back victories. Last start, the Unusual Suspect gelding hammered his rivals in a Toowoomba Maiden over the mile. He crossed the line more than two lengths ahead of them as he posted the fastest final 600m, 400m and 200m sectionals for the race. Jake Molloy sticks with him after that big win and here, he comes up with gate five and maps to settle just off the speed. In form at the right time, he looks a genuine winning chance in this field.

Race 7: No.8 DREAM ENTITY ($4.60 with bet365)

The Greg Cornish-trained DREAM ENTITY hasn’t missed a top-four finish in eight starts this preparation and is capable of keeping that record going here today. Last start, the Dream Ahead mare clobbered her rivals in a BM62 Hcp over 1100m at the Gold Coast. On a Heavy 10 that day, Jasmine Cornish took all the shortcuts in the run and it paid off well as she went on to take the race by two lengths in the end. She also posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Cornish sticks with her today and just needs a touch of luck from her wide draw to find a suitable spot on settling with cover. If she finds clean air on straightening, back-to-back wins looks on the menu today.

Race 6: No.11 GRANDEUR ROSE ($6 with Palmerbet)

Sunshine Coast galloper GRANDEUR ROSE is in career-best form this time in and looks well placed here to keep it going today. Last start, the Doomsday mare came off her maiden win and stepped-up to Class 2 company where she did well to finish third in the 1000m event. Sent out a $31 chance, she settled mid-field to the turn, then came wide and chased hard to the end, picking up the podium finish. She will find this company a little easier to deal with and with the form she is in, a second victory (at odds) is not out of the question today.
