Moe Tips 22/09/2022
BEST BET 🏆
Race 8 No. 5 WRITEY O’PAL- ($2.20)
Race 8 at Moe is a BenchMark 64 over the 1117m and WRITEY O’PAL should be hard to beat. The four-year-old was a debut winner at Pakenham late last year and resumed with an excellent 4th at Caulfield behind Scissor Step. He was then put away after running 4th behind Star Patrol down the 1200m of the Flemington straight. He went 7.6 lengths faster than standard benchmark when resuming at Caulfield before going 4.8 lengths faster at Flemington. Those figures are better than what any other runner in this race has ever produced. He will find this easier and Daniel Stackhouse just needs to negotiate barrier 12.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 6 No. 1 BEAGLE- ($3.20)
BEAGLE looks well placed in Race 6 of the afternoon. The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained galloper has had three career starts for two runner-up performances and comes back from a year off the scene after narrowly missing out at Geelong this time a year ago. The son of Pride Of Dubai produced some handy figures in all three of his runs and comes back gelded this time around. Early market support suggests that he should be primed.
BEST VALUE 💰(EACH-WAY)
Race 5 No. 6 FLYING BARTY- ($6)
FLYING BARTY can go close to chalking up her first career win when she steps out in Race 5 of the day at Moe. The four-year-old has placed in three of five career starts and resumed at Moe on September 6, finishing 3rd behind Our Redente on the Soft 7 ground. She settled handy that day but couldn’t quite reel in the leading pair. At her only other previous second up career run, the daughter of Flying Artie improved on benchmark figures to go 2.6 lengths slower than standard when placing at Morphettville. They are the best figures that any horse in this race has ever produced. She will be handy and I expect to see her fighting out the finish.
