Race 5 No. 3 RED STILETTO- ($2)
A number of scratchings here and RED STILETTO can capitalise. The locally trained galloper was a dominant winner at the track and trip on January 15 and seems to be thriving with racing. She led them up over the 1600m in a BenchMark 64 and kept going to win by nearly four lengths from No Secret, while there was a three length gap back to 3rd. Form was pretty solid prior to that and she went right on standard time at Moe at her latest. Anything around that mark will see her be very hard to beat here and the 4kg claiming apprentice, Dakotah Keane, gets a huge chance to register her first win in the saddle.

Race 7 No. 6 MAKE AN EFFORT – ($3.90)
MAKE AN EFFORT should be hard to beat in Race 7. The six-year-old comes into this with some solid form and was a winner at Mornington over the 1000m two starts ago before just going down at that venue when a narrow runner-up behind Tax Free Prophet. The daughter of Reward For Effort gets out to the 1100m and has placed in four of six at the track and trip, while she should land in the box seat from barrier 4 with Daniel Stackhouse to steer.
