Race 7 No. 9 LANI BANG BANG – ($5.50)
LANI BANG BANG just needs to run right up to her last start effort to be a big factor here. Her recent run came on August 6 over the 1100m at Moe and she settled just worse than midfield, producing the fastest late splits to run 3rd, beaten just under a length by Little Max. That came on a Heavy 9 and the Luke Oliver-trained galloper should get similar conditions on Sunday. She draws wide for this but speed looks ok and the step to the 1200m looks like it will suit.

Race 5 No. 5 NEWZEEL DEAL – ($9)
NEWZEEL DEAL looks well placed in Race 5 of the day at Moe. The five-year-old has been a bit disappointing following a promising start to his career and stepped out for the Eric Musgrove stable with a last of the nine runners at Coleraine on August 14. Performance not as bad as it reads and he landed five lengths away, going 1.5 lengths slower than standard. The son of Dundeel needs the 2000m plus and a track that is near or in the Heavy range will suit. He draws to save ground from barrier 1 and can go close.
