BEST BET 🏆   

Race 6 No. 2 AUSTMARR ($4.40) 

AUSTMARR looks well placed in Race 6. The Godolphin galloper from the Anthony & Sam Freedman yard attracted support at her first run of this preparation but could only manage 4th behind Power Ballard, going 1.6 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner in this race. The daughter of Exosphere drops down to a BenchMark 64 and when second up at her last preparation she improved six lengths on figures when scoring well at Sandown over the 1000m. 

NEXT BEST 🥈   

Race 3 No. 10 BELLE INFERNO ($4.20) 

BELLE INFERNO can be an improver in Race 3. The Maher/Eustace galloper has had the two career starts and was solid on debut when running on for 4th over the 1200m down the Flemington straight before heading to Sandown and running 5th behind Warmosa over the 1300m. Form from that race has held up and she didn’t enjoy much clear air in the early parts of the straight. John Allen jumps on board and I wouldn’t mind seeing the pair settle a tad closer this time around.

Race 8 No. 10 HELLO WORLD ($5.50) 

We close off with a BenchMark 64 over the 1200m and HELLO WORLD can go on with the job after resuming with a strong win at Mornington on January 7 over the 1200m. That came at Mornington and she settled handy before edging out Joon Ho by half a length, while there was a gap back to the 3rd horse, Genrichero, who has since come out and won. The Team Hawkes-trained galloper produced the fastest last 600m, 400m and 200m of the entire meeting at what was just his second career start. Jordan Childs rides.
