Race 6 No. 1 HOLY RACKET ($5.50) 

HOLY RACKET can go close at his first run back from a spell. He was consistent in his first preparation, winning two and placing in three and was unlucky in a BenchMark 70 at the track on Cox Plate eve before closing out with a 3rd in a BenchMark 70 behind Our Cracklin’ Rosie. The son of Swiss Ace comes into this with a winning trial under the belt and will be ridden by Craig Williams from barrier 2.

Race 3 No. 1  LIEVORE ($7.50) 

Late betting moves will be worth keeping an eye on in this race with LIEVORE heading in first up. The Nikki Burke-trained galloper performs well first up and doesn’t mind the Valley, producing a strong win in harder company than this at her last preparation with that coming over the 1600m. She was third up that evening and led all the way. Her first up performance came at Sandown and she just went down late behind Crimson Light but enjoyed a gap to the rest. Look for her to settle first few and take some running down. 

BEST VALUE 💰   

Race 2 No.2 POLANCO ($8.50) 

POLANCO can end a three-year drought when he steps out in Race 2. The eight-year-old drops to BenchMark 64 and was a fraction unlucky last time in a BM70 when 4th at Sandown behind Le Ferrari. He should find this easier and has performed well at Moonee Valley in the past. The 3kg claiming apprentice, Jaylah Kennedy, rides and the pair draw barrier 5.
