Race 8 No. 1 PAPILLION CLUB- ($2.10)

This looks to be one for PAPILLION CLUB. The Greg Eurell-trained galloper worked through the grades earlier in her career and last stepped out at Flemington in the Kewney Stakes (1600m). In that Group 2 affair, the daughter of Toronado led them up and kept going in the straight, only to be edged late by Revolutionary Miss. Those two gapped the rest. She has the gate speed to cross early on and will take some running down in the short straight at the Valley.

Race 5 No.2 SIRILEO MISS – ($3.10)

Big win by SIRILEO MISS at Flemington on March 11 at Group 3 level in the Matron Stakes and keen on the Simon Wilde-trained galloper after that performance. She has always been around the mark in anything she contests and led them up at Flemington before kicking clear to a four-length win, setting a personal best by going 13.6 lengths faster than standard benchmark. At her last preparation, the five-year-old struck a wet track when 3rd behind My Whisper at the track and trip at this stage but she should be better on top of the ground and can make it two on the trot.

Race 7 No. 11 IMPERATRIZ- ($3.60)

IMPERATRIZ might just be the obvious selection in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes and we can line up her form against some of the top talent after her performance in the Canterbury Stakes. The New Zealander looked the winner in the that race before being gunned down late in the piece by Artorius. The Mark Walker-trained galloper went nine lengths faster than standard benchmark and has the early gate speed. She should be suited at Moonee Valley and over the 1200m, a distance in which she has won four from six. With some of the other key chances drawing out wide, she should just about get the run of the race.
