Race 6 No. 1 EPSOM DAYS- ($13) 

Race 6 is a 0-64 over the 2000m and EPSOM DAYS can be an improver up in trip. The six-year-old didn’t do too much over unsuitable trips before heading to the 1600m at Mornington and running on for 6th behind Cetshwayo, beaten just over two lengths. He produced the fastest last 600m in that race. The Pat Carey-trained galloper has scored at this stage of his past two preparations and over the 2000m. He is another that has attracted support in the betting and draws to get a nice trail from barrier 4.

Race 4 No. 13 STEELE LIBERTY- ($11)

STEELE LIBERTY shapes as an each-way player in Race 4 of the day at Mornington. The four-year-old has had the two career starts, finishing 6th on both occasions. She stepped out off a long break at Mornington over the 1000m on October 6, setting back in the field in a slowly run race, producing the fastest 400m-200m split before the slow early tempo counted against. The daughter of Frosted went 5.9 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which are the best last start figures of any runner. A noted firmer in the early betting, coming in from $17, the 1200m should suit and she has drawn barrier 3.
