We close out the programme with a BenchMark 64 over the 1200m and KAIDO can improve off a first up effort that saw him finish 6th at Sandown behind Vermentino. The Clinton McDonald-trained galloper settled midfield that day and stuck on in what has proven to be a strong form race. Second up last time he was an easy winner at Pakenham and he should find this easier than his latest assignment.

Race 4 No. 14 ROMANOVA- ($3.50)
Going with ROMANOVA in Race 4 of the day at Mornington. The Peter Moody-trained galloper stepped out on debut at Moonee Valley on December 9 over the 1200m and settled handy before sticking on for 3rd vend Li’l Wonder. It remains to be seen how the form from that plays out but the daughter of Russian Revolution went 1.9 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is the best figure that any horse in this race has produced. Expect her to go very close with Daniel Moor to ride.
