BEST BET 🏆

Race 4 No. 10 TOAST THE DEEL – ($6.50)

We backed TOAST THE DEEL when he went oh so close to winning his maiden at Strathalbyn recently. Found himself back on the rail and between horses, which is not the ideal scenario at Strath before charging after Lord Morton late. Those two horses went to the line locked together while leaving a margin back to the others. Or confidence to back Toast The Deel that day came off the back of a fast-finishing first-up performance at Oakbank. Tost The Deel showed no issues in handling either tight-turning courses, as was the case again last start when beaten by Starts With Hello. Rialtor had set a fast tempo in front with the winner camped off his back with Toast The Deel not far off those. Comes back to maiden grade where Todd Pannell can gain the run of the race behind the leading division.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5 No. 1 PLUS FOURS – ($2.70)

The Stokes Clan have placed PLUS FOURS to perfection here which can see comeback king Gary Lo land another winner. The stable has found a very low-rating Class One race in town in which to pick off with the last-start maiden winner. Plus Fours led comfortably on resumption at Pakenham while never finding the rail. Zac Spain didn’t force the issue to do so either, and his mount was always travelling comfortably into the straight. Plus Fours found plenty when asked and is not expected to find a lot of pressure towards the speed on Saturday.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 7 No. 1 KIKI EXPRESS – ($4.20)

Another horse who looks well placed on Saturday is KIKI EXPRESS from the Travis Doudle yard. The filly ended her latest prep in good form when winning the $100k Rebel Raider Series final over 1200 metres on the outer track. Travis brought her straight into a sharp BM86 over 1100 metres first-up with Kiki Express doing her best work late behind Philonize. Thought she showed quality in a recent jump out when going up to Daring Move and Parsifal over the concluding stages. Kiki Express is now being tested out to the 1400m while second-up as the class filly of this field.
