Morphettville Parks Tips 25/03/2023

BEST BET 🏆

Race 6 No. 4 RIALTOR – ($3)

#SABlackbookers horse RIALTOR passed his first test out to this trip with flying colours last start. He relaxed the best he ever has as Sheriden Tomlinson kept the horse in a comfortable rhythm throughout. Rialtor never looked like being beaten as he continued strongly to score an all-the-way win. That was over this track and trip, and the handicapper has given him a 1kg weight relief for the win. Rialtor does go up marginally in class on Saturday, though the ease of his latest victory should suggest this will be a case of rinse and repeat.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 8 No. 9 ALOTAFUN – ($4.40)

The Shayne Cahill camp turned on a training masterclass as they nursed their 5yo mare ALOTAFUN back to the races. She was racing first-up for more than two years with a barrier trial back in May last year between runs. Jumped sharply and wanted to put herself into the speed battle early. Resented being asked by Teagan Voorham to just come back out of such before duly giving her head. Teagan brought Alotafun with her run shortly upon straightening with the mare wanting to duck back in as she let down. She managed to finish third to a couple of handy types in good time and to write her name amongst the #SABlackbookers. Since backed off the map to score at Strathalbyn and looks well placed again on Saturday.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 2 No. 6 FOX DUNNETT – ($11)

We’ve made no secret of wanting to follow #SABlackbookers horse FOX DUNNETT from the Darryl Carrison yard. Carrison scratched Fox Dunnett from an easier option on Port Lincoln Cup Day to keep him to the seven-furlong distance at Murray Bridge on Magic Millions Day. The big field ran along with Sheriden Tomlinson finding cover off the speed before edging into the race prior to straightening. Fox Dunnett continued to build up the big straight while doing his best work late to finish into second placing. Followed with an effort that looks better than the margin suggests when always back in a slowly run Listed event. That was over a mile on Adelaide Cup Day with our concern here being the Parks may not suit. Fox Dunnett appears to be above average and we are going to continue following.
