Race 2 No. 8 LOVELY LOOKIN’ – ($2.75) 

A favourable barrier draw can see Jason Holder land a winner early on Adelaide Cup day aboard LOVELY LOOKIN’. The filly was a good winner at her second race start as Caitlin Jones came back off the speed from their wide gate. Lovely Lookin’ travelled strongly under Jones before hitting the front into the straight and fending off the fast-finishing Give Some Lip. Holder took over at her next start to allow Lovely Lookin’ to do her own thing out in front over 1250m on the Parks track. The pair bolted in to score by close to four lengths before Lovely Lookin’ headed over to Melbourne for a run. Wasn’t asked to extend in leading all the way during a recent trial in readiness for he second prep. The gate should allow Holder to find a good rhythm on Lovely Lookin’ with plenty of speed engaged.

Race 6 No. 5 WILD IMAGINATION – ($6.50) 

There’s a lot to like about perennial #SABlackbookers horse WILD IMAGINATION heading into the Colin Hayes Memorial on Monday. She’s a horse who races up near the speed and always gives her all to the line. Jake Toeroek was able to get away with a cheap lead on the mare when racing first-up over 1400m on the Parks track. He was able to increase the tempo at will with Wild Imagination who came away to score. The first-up win wasn’t a gut-buster, and Wild Imagination has drawn to put herself into a lovely position as she gets out to the mile.

Race 3 No. 6 EMERALD COURT – ($20) 

A case of pace without pressure will give EMERALD COURT every chance to figure in the finish at Morphettville Racecourse on Monday. The mare has found a purple patch of form, winning three out of her last five races. Sophie Logan allowed her to bowl along out in front with Little Rich Boy breathing fire to their outside. Logan balanced her mount on straightening to find a margin over Little Rich Boy who again came at the pair. Emerald Court fended off the challenge to pull out a win over this track and trip. Logan will be able to find a comfortable rhythm for Emerald Court through the early stages in this while being unchallenged for the lead.
