Morphettville Tips 24/09/2022
BEST BET 🏆
Race 6 No. 4 GAZE GRISE ($6)
The David Jolly trained mare GAZE GRISE looked forward enough during her jump out at Strathalbyn. She is a class mare on the rise who has only been lightly raced to date and we would expect to see the best of her this season. The rail being out at the Parks means we are going to look for those drawn nearer the fence and Gaze Grise ticks that box here. She has shown she can carry weight in the past while she has also finished close up in black-type grade. Kayla Crowther will find cover and Gaze Grise has the turn of foot to take the runs as they present.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 5 No. 1 IMPOSSIBLE ACTION – ($9)
The Jolly family can continue the action on the Parks, this time with consistent galloper IMPOSSIBLE ACTION. He was a winner over this trip on the bigger Gifford Hill track two starts ago as Jake Toeroek afforded him plenty of room to move. He continued to move into the race three wide and without cover before building up the big straight for a powerful win. Since came off the bit and chasing from a long way out as the three in front set a blistering tempo. Impossible Action never shirked the task and should find should be able to utilize his turn of foot while back in class.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 7 No. 2 SEA WITNESS – ($12)
Well, the racing gods are saying no but we’re going to push on anyway with our #SABlackbookers runner SEA WITNESS. Lizzie Annells rode the perfect race on him, building from an even tempo with Sea Witness looking comfortable. It took just one horse to come out the pack in Angel Like to pip the pair on the line in the closet of photos. Even upon review of that horse’s form we cannot find any inclination that the winner was about to turn his form around. Drawn off the track this week and with pace inside, Lizzie won’t likely have time to build again. Sea Witness should have taken further benefit though and is as tough as they come.
