In outstanding form this time in, the Jason Deamer-trained AWESOME LAD looks ready to rock and roll today and on form, already has one hoof on this year’s Cup. Two starts back, he was most impressive finishing second (in a field of 20) behind Oakfield Arrow in The Four Pillars over 1500m at Rosehill. Then last start, he went one better when taking out a Class 5 Plate over the same trip at Hawkesbury. He ran that out, 1 length quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up while posting the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for that race. Ideally drawn in gate three for the big one today, he maps to settle just behind the speed near the fence and has Ash Morgan aboard for this assignment, making him the eighth different rider in as many starts to take the reins. He is the form horse of the race and looks well placed for back-to-back wins today.

Race 6: No.6  CIRCULARITY  ($3.70 with Palmerbet)

The Team Freedman-trained CIRCULARITY is in great touch this preparation as he takes on an easier contest here and looks right in the thick of things. After three-straight top-two finishes, the Time For War gelding faced a strong field in a BM78 Hcp over 1250m at Canterbury. After box-seating most of the way, he just couldn’t go with them in the run home but stuck on to grab fourth prize across the line. He ran it out, 2.5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort here. Now with four starts behind him, he should be at his peak and just in time for this assignment. He gets the gun-run form gate one today and maps to be box-seating again. With Koby Jennings on board, he will give us a good run for our money today.
