BEST BET 🏆   

Race 7 No. 3 MY RUBY – ($4.85) 

Track specialist MY RUBY has had her races well-spaced this prep which has seen her winning two out of her three runs. She settled on the leaders backs before opening a winning break while resuming on the Parks track. Found plenty of cover when racing over this track and distance second-up before putting paid to them in dominant fashion under Jake Toeroek. That was enough for trainers Wayne Francis and Glen Kent to send My Ruby to Melbourne for a crack at the 955m sprint races at Moonee Valley. She was game in defeat when running third under Zac Spain after being slowly away. My Ruby has been given a very quiet little trial with the earmuffs on leading into this, and she’ll be right in the finish on Saturday.

Race 5 No. 9 BILLIE BRONX – ($3.40)

We highlighted BILLIE BRONX as a video watch horse in the race won by Dawnburst at Murray Bridge. San Lucidio went into the #SABlackbookers file following that race with Billie Bronx going to the line without having a run. San Lucidio came out and scored in fast time at Gawler before Billie Bronx sat on top of the pace to race away with her race into the straight. The two other horses we black booked out of the race won by Billie Bronx from this write up were Marvelous Knight and Tahnee Treasure who have both won since.

Race 9 No. 5 FANMALIA – ($13) 

The good finish belies how good a race this was as the resuming Wolfburn ran them along at a solid clip. FANMALIA backed up his good first-up run where he was noted making ground on his lonesome out wide. His best form is generally over further and as such was beaten for the early speed in this race. Teagan Voorham steered Fanmalia out to the preferred middle section of the track as the pair made the run into the straight. This field was good enough to run a fast last 600 metres on top of the quick early speed and Fanmalia finished best to run second. Sandie Brennan perhaps kept him to1200m for one run too many last start, and Fanmalia will get his chance on the big Gifford Hill track.
