Race 3 No. 9 GILDED AGE ($3.20)

Peter & Belinda Blanch head to Murray Bridge Racecourse on Wednesday with GILDED AGE. They are getting close to a win with this horse who closed out hard at over 1430m at Naracoorte three starts ago. The stable then got him out to 1700m in a slowly run race at Gawler. Gilded Age over raced badly in behind the leaders due to the lack of tempo. He could have been forgiven for dropping out as the pressure went on, instead he and the winner Holmes came right away from the others. The stable sent Gilded Age back to 1400m here last start where he got back in another slowly run race. He ran home notably with the rail all but over and should improve back out to a trip from an ideal gate.

Race 1 No. 7 AGRESSIVE BEE ($7.50)

Fairly confident bet with AGRESSIVE BEE who won a jump out since her recent placing at Strathalbyn. We were surprised to see Agressive Bee come back from her wide gate under Nichola Yuen over 900m here two runs ago. The pressure never came into the race and Agressive Bee was okay to the line behind the placegetters. Pinged the lids under Yuen at her next start over 1100m at Strathalbyn and kept on well for second as Apache Gunship ran past her late. Shane & Cassie Oxlade have given Agressive Bee that sharp little jumpout between runs and will also apply a tongue tie for Wednesday’s race.

Race 4 No. 1 PERSIAN EMPIRE ($7)

The South Australians will be keen for a result as Caitlyn Munro represents her home state in the National Apprentice Race Series. She goes to the Garrett Lynch trained PERSIAN EMPIRE who is a recent winner over this track and trip. Senior rider Sam Payne got the best out of the horse that day when rolling forward at a good speed. He angled Persian Empire out to the better part of the Soft 6 track into the straight to pull out a gutsy win over Jamcra. Those two left a gap back to the rest while Persian Empire meets a similar field again.
