Murray Bridge Tips 7/09/2022

BEST BET 🏆

Race 8 No. 5 PITRAIN – ($5)

Sue and Jason Jaensch sent PITRAIN around over 1400 metres first-up at Balaklava. He was away only fairly before becoming crowded with Paul Gatt encouraging the horse to maintain a position with the field. They’ve ended up settling back of midfield the rail on a day the winners all raced forward in the run. Found clear air out in the middle of the track to come home hard as the winner had kicked. Found himself a long way back in the field once again when we backed him here last time. The winner had stolen a march with Pitrain finishing best of the rest. We have pegged this horse who will want further in time. For now, The Jaensch team have kept him to trip and Pitrain should be ready to show his best.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 2 No. 2 FAMOUS PRINCE – ($3.60)

Shane & Cassie Oxlade presented FAMOUS PRINCE to the track with plenty of condition first-up and that’s how he raced. He did get a little keen between horses while racing just behind the good speed. Looked to come on briefly when clear about a furlong out before just grinding away. Showed good speed during his first prep which has yielded form around a couple of #SABlackbookers horse. Looks like a Gifford Hill horse, should strip fitter and form part of that on-speed brigade who have all drawn out.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6 No. 9 TEA RAV – ($16)

TE RAV had been well-supported in scoring his maiden victory over 1400 metres at Balaklava. Ben Price had been intent to control the race from the inside draw and eventually got his own way after copping some pressure. Te Rav gave a solid kick into the straight off those good early splits and pulled out plenty to deny Stadium Of Light who ran on from the back on debut. They’ve put some twelve lengths on the others while both impressing on the clock. We’ll put a line through his latest when pulling up lame as Stuart Gower sent him to town.
