Race 2:  No.2  KILLER KERR

Hawkesbury galloper, KILLER KERR has resumed with all guns blazing and third-up today, looks the testing material in this contest. Two starts back, the Shooting To Win mare resumed from a lengthy 21-week break when she clobbered her rivals, here in a 1200m Maiden, putting two lengths on them over the lie. Then last start, she box-seated more of the way but arrived a whisker too late and had to settle for second prize in Class 1 company over 1350m at Wyong. Robyn Freeman was aboard on both occasions and steers the ship again today. Fitter for those two runs back, she gets the gun-run from gate one today and maps to be box-seating behind the early speed again. Already a track and distance winner, she will take beating here.

Race 7:  No.7  OCCHIATA

The Matt Dale-trained OCCHIATA is in great touch this preparation and third-up today, looks the one to beat in this contest. Last start, the Flying Artie mare finally broke through for her maiden win at Canberra, crossing the line one length clear of them over the 1300m journey. That was just her second start for the Dale stable after transferring across from the Gabrielle Englebrecht camp last year. Billy Owen steered her home that day and remains the pilot for this assignment. Nicely drawn in gate four, she maps to settle just behind the speed and with a clear run to the line, she should prove hard to hold out today.

Race 4:  No.7  DARK GLITTER

Mike Van Gestel saddles-up DARK GLITTER here who is the rookie of the field but still looks a serious contender for the main prize here. Last start, the Spieth filly made her racing debut and despite racing greenly, still proved too good in the end, taking out the 1000m Maiden at Canberra by half a length on the line. After the claim here, she carries 1.5kgs under the limit today and is nicely drawn in gate three. With that run under her belt, she will strip fitter and looks right up to this assignment today. A trouble-free run here should see her there at the finish.
