BEST BET 🏆
Race 2: No.2 SWEET HONESTY ($2.60 with Neds)
Canberra-based galloper SWEET HONESTY is second-up today and looks a real chance of bringing up the hat-trick here. The Nicconi mare ended her last campaign, winning her maiden at the Sapphire Coast. Then last start, she picked-up where she left off by taking out a Class 1 Hcp over 1200m on her home track. She was fresh off a 19-week break that day and had to plough through a Heavy 10 as well. She also recorded the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. She came from well back that day so the step-up in distance here looks ideal with that first-up win behind her now. Finishing runner-up at her only start on this track, she looks the goods to go one better today.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 5: No.7 MIDNIGHT OASIS ($3.40 with bet365)
Warwick Farm visitor MIDNIGHT OASIS sees the Nowra track for the first time today and dropping in grade, should find this assignment a little easier. Last start, the So You Think mare came off her maiden win at Newcastle when she finished a close-up third in a BM66 over 1300m at Goulburn. She finished strongly that day, running her last 600m 6 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up by more than 5 lengths. Blake Spriggs sticks with the mare here and rock-hard fit after three runs this time in, she looks a genuine contender here today.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 1: No.6 REBELLIOUS MISS ($4 with Ladbrokes)
The Aaron Clarke-trained REBELLIOUS MISS is unbeaten in two starts here and ticks enough boxes to suggest it will remain that way after this contest. Last start, the Rebel Raider mare recorded her first win for this preparation when she took out a BM58 Hcp, here over 1400m. She finished strongly that day, running the fastest final 200m sectional for the race. She is two from two here and is a winner over the track and distance as well. After winning The Kosciuszko at Randwick yesterday, Tyler Schiller is backing up today and sticks with the mare. Going on her current form, she looks the one to beat here.
