BEST BET 🏆
Race 2: No.3 OCCHIATA
The Matt Dale-trained OCCHIATA is high-flying this time in and looks well placed here to keep up the good work. Last start, the Flying Artie mare made it four-straight podium finishes when she beat all but one home in a Class 2 of 1425m at Moruya. Well ridden by Louise Day, she settled in the one, one to the turn, then eased off heels joined the leader on the turn. Half way home, she took over but was grabbed late on the line by Destructive Diva (carrying less weight on the day). She meets similar company here and had Day sticking with her for this assignment. Just a little luck from the outside gate today is all she needs to gain the upper hand in this contest.

Race 5: No.3 RAPID OUTLAW
Kembla Grange galloper, RAPID OUTLAW returns to country racing today and looks ideally placed to bounce back and claim career-win number four in this contest. Last start, the Headwater mare came off an unplaced effort in a BM72 Midway Hcp at Randwick when she took home fifth prize on her home track over the mile. That day, she overraced and finished 2.5 lengths from the winner. Go on her Class 2 win at the Sapphire Coast three starts back when Jess Del Frari steered her home that day. Dropping back in grade here, Del Frari has the reins again and from gate three, maps to be parked right behind the speed. With a clear run to the line, she looks a real threat to victory today.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 3: No.1 BELLA ACE
Warwick Farm trainer, Lauri Parker makes the two-hour trip south down the M1 with just BELLA ACE on the float who is three starts into this campaign and looks a super chance of going back-to-back today. Last start, the Winning Rupert mare was third-up when she walloped a BM50 field over 1000m at Canberra. Apprentice, Olivia Dalton was in the saddle for the first time and had the mare in front on settling. Dictating the speed, she straightened up a length clear, then hands and heels only, went on to win by two lengths arose the line. Dalton steers the ship again today and after her 3kg claim, the four-year-old lines-up here well treated at the weights. She maps to lead again from gate five and again will take catching today.
