Race 6 No. 7 FREEWAYS– ($4.40)
Race 6 is a BenchMark 64 and the Godolphin galloper, FREEWAYS, gets her chance. She never really came into it when resuming at Geelong, settling back on what was a snails pace. But she kept chasing despite being caught deep throughout when 3rd at Sandown behind Benedetta on January 18. I wouldn’t mind seeing her land a little closer in the run this time around and Damian Lane jumps on board, while the blinkers go on. The daughter of Epaulette was an improver as she went through her last preparation and the 1400m looks like it will suit.

Race 5 No. 10 ETERNAL FLAME – ($4.40)
Nice debut performance by ETERNAL FLAME at Pakenham over the 1200m on January 12 and the three-year-old can go one spot better after filling the exacta behind Shaime. She settled back that evening and produced the fastest last 400m and 200m but was unable to catch the leader. Worth noting there was a four-length gap back to 3rd. The daughter of Sacred Falls is likely to again get back after drawing wide but she will strip fitter and should get her chance up to the 1400m at Pakenham.
