Race 5 No. 5 ELDERBERRY- ($1.90)
ELDERBERRY should be hard to beat in Race 5. The Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained filly stepped out from a spell at Bendigo on February 11 and settled handy before going down behind Aminatu. She should benefit from that run and at her last campaign, the daughter of Bolt D’Oro improved 10 lengths on benchmark figures when going from a Moe maiden win to a runner-up in an Open Handicap at Caulfield. She has firmed in the early betting and draws to be prominent from barrier 6.

Race 3 No. 2 JOHNNY WATTS ON- ($2.20)
This looks to be the one for JOHNNY WATTS ON. The four-year-old has finished runner-up in three of his four career starts and was luckless over the 1200m here when resuming with a 5th before leading and going down in the last stride behind Kerensky on February 22, again over the 1200m. The Michael Trotter-trained galloper went 0.1 lengths faster than standard benchmark in that race, which is nearly six lengths better than the next best last start benchmark figures of any runner. He draws perfectly in barrier 4 and will be ridden by Jordan Childs.
