Race 2 No. 5 TYITA- ($5)
TYITA can go close in Race 2 of the evening at Pakenham after a debut effort that saw him finish runner-up behind Gargantuan at Geelong over the 1347m on September 29. The Chris Waller-trained galloper attracted support in the betting that day and settled midfield before closing off well to go bang on standard time. Any improvement on that should see the son of Maurice be hard to beat.

Race 4 No. 5 FAST VICTORY- ($4.80)
Another horse that produced a runner-up effort on debut comes up in Race 4 and it is FAST VICTORY that just needs to overcome the wide gate. The Ben & JD Hayes-trained galloper sped across on the Synthetic to settle up the front over the 1200m on September 19 and just went down late behind Euphoric. He went 3.5 lengths slower than standard, which are the best last start figures of any runner. The drop down to the 1000m looks like it will suit and Jamie Mott retains the ride.

Race 6 No. 7 MADREAN- ($6)
MADREAN should find this easier than a first up effort that saw her finish 9th at Sandown in a BenchMark 70 behind Picarones over the 1400m. That came on September 29 and the four-year-old didn’t enjoy the best time of it in the early stages before landing six lengths away. An improved showing is on the cards for this daughter of Frankel. Second up at her initial preparation she claimed her Maiden at Cranbourne ahead of Girello. Look for her to settle closer this time around and we can expect to see her fighting out the finish.
