Race 1 No. 1 WHITE MARLIN- ($1.40)

Willing to take the skinny for the unbeaten WHITE MARLIN in Race 5 and pop that into a multi. The Melbourne Cup fancy is heads to Pakenham after Flemington Tuesday meeting was rescheduled. He resumed with a solid win in the Easter Cup (2000m) at Sandown on April 8 ahead of Right You Are, who has since scored a Caulfield Cup birth by taking out the Mornington Cup (2400m) last Saturday. That horse won his six starts before bumping into White Marlin, who led and dictated before winning by two lengths at Sandown on April 8. The Waterhouse/Bott galloper should have some improvement to come at his second run and very hard to see him being beaten in this.

Race 3 No 8 ELLY DEE- ($1.80)

ELLY DEE can chalk up the first win of her career when she steps out in Race 2. The four-year-old has had the three career starts for three minor placings and resumed at Mornington on April 9, going down as a $1.45 favourite behind Dream Of Mine. The John Sadler-trained galloper settled just off the leaders in that race but couldn’t quite go with the winner late in the piece. She will strip fitter for this and at her previous second up run, the daughter of Frosted was an unlucky 3rd in what turned out to be a strong form race at Mornington. She can get the job done here.
