Race 7 No. 2 LET’SDEAL
Always had a soft spot for this horse since his debut when we got close to $10 at opening and he jumped $1.75 and absolutely bolted in. From there he was targeted for harder races and challenged across the Derby staying trips. He never really found his feet in those so I’m glad to see him back down to 1400m and starting a new preparation. Small question mark on the track conditions, but i do think he is the most progressive horse in this race and is the one to beat.

Race 1 No. 2 FLY AWAY HOME
This three-year-old has shown a nice turn of foot in most of his races to date. Blinkers come off here and he steps out to 1500m. Expecting Sunplay to lead them up and he is the logical danger, but this guy loves to chase and hoping he has too much class for this bunch.

Race 8 No. 2 OCEANIC RIDER
A nice four-year-old gelding that showed his class last preparation by finishing fourth in the Listed Perth Stakes. He races on speed which I think is beneficial at Pinjarra and was able to win a trial on the heavy recently. I will add that I didn’t think the trial was as good as I would have liked to see, but I am hoping he has saved it for race day and with the claim can be too good for them on return.
