Port Lincoln Tips 2/11/2022

BEST BET 🏆

Race 3 No. 5 MARINA – ($4.20)

The race fit MARINA finds a good opportunity to land with his debut run on the Eyre Peninsula. Racing consistently with four wins from his past ten starts, Marina finds himself back in class on his past couple. Remained in the hunt for a long way at Morphettville as Exalted Fire and Turfitt got past him late. Held ground okay the start previous behind Territory Titan who ran his rivals into the ground with a strong gallop. Rolled forward to post wins on the dirt tracks of Quorn and Port Augusta recently while rated higher on the handicap scale. Can ride the high of trainer Mick White who knocked-off his maiden win in town recently while holding a fitness edge here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 8 No. 1 AHSO – ($4.80)

John Dunn & Krystal Bishop have seemingly picked-up a ready-made racehorse in the ex-NSW galloper AHSO. Should expect there will be money for this horse as newcomer Rochelle Milnes allowed Ahso to build into a recent trial underneath her. They were trialing amongst a handy field where My Mate Sonny recorded okay time to the day. Milnes gave Ahso a bit more rein into the straight to come out and close the gap on the leaders. Things got a bit tight by the furlong which forced Milnes to check off heels. She didn’t ask any more of Ahso with her mount cruising to the line under his own steam.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5 No. 7 EXALTED MAXINE – ($6)

Trainer Bryan Holtham can strike with his relatively new acquisition EXALTED MAXINE. The mare had been outclassed though not disgraced when racing first-up in town behind the highly-touted Taunting. Disappointed at her following start when finishing down the track on Balaklava Cup Day. Bounced back to somewhere near her best at Gawler last start on the heavy track over 1100 metres. Exalted Maxine showed her usual early dash to the lead the field up then never shirked the task as track specialist Deevine cruised on by. This is a fair step back in class and Exalted Maxine should relishes the five furlongs whilst holding a fitness edge over her rivals.
