BEST BET 🏆

Race 1:  No.3  OCEAN FLYER  ($2.70 with Ladbrokes)

Local galloper OCEAN FLYER has improved with every start this preparation and looks well placed here for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Ocean Park mare broke through for her maiden win, here in an 1800m contest. She ran her last 600m, 3 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort here by 4 lengths. She also posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Grant Buckley is aboard today for the first time and having three podium finishes from as many starts on a heavy track, she will take beating here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6:  No.3  UZZAIH  ($3.60 with Neds)

The Newcastle-based UZZAIH is off to a flying start this preparation and looks up to the rise in class today. Last start, the Outreach gelding was fresh off an 11-week spell when he took out a Class 1 Hcp over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Trapped three-deep most of the way (after jumping from gate 10 of 14), he still managed to run his last 600m, 3.8 lengths quicker than benchmark and run the fastest final 800m sectional for the race. Amelia Denby sticks with him today and already a second-up winner, he should take some beating here.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 4:  No.2  I’LL TELL YOU NOW  ($4.60 with BlueBet)

Gosford galloper I’LL TELL YOU NOW is third-up today and looks ready to win. Last start, the Eurozone gelding took on a strong BM64 field over 900m at Muswellbrook where he finished fast to grab third prize on a Soft 7 that day. He ran the last 600m, 3.7 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field bt 5 lengths. This is his first look at the track but down in grade and with a 3kg claim, he looks right in the mix for a shot at victory today. Scratched from race six to run in this easier event, he looks a prime investment here.
