Race 2: No.1 SIR RAVANELLI ($1.75 with bet365)

Tuncurry galloper SIR RAVANELLI has missed just one podium finish in six starts this preparation and looks set for another top-three performance here. Last start, the Iffraaj gelding made it a hat-trick of silver medals when he beat all but one to the line in a BM66 Hcp over 1200m on his home track. He ran the fastest final 400m on a Heavy 10 that day, after box-seating to the turn. From gate four today, he maps to settle on the speed with Andrew Gibbons on board for the first time. A trouble-free run here should see him hard to run down in this company.

Race 5: No.6 CREDIT CRUNCH ($4.20 with Ladbrokes)

The Warwick Farm-based CREDIT CRUNCH is in great touch of late and looks a solid winning chance here today. Last start, the Real Impact mare took out a Class 3 contest over the mile at Goulburn, finishing strongly in the closing stages. She recorded the fastest 800m to 200m sectionals for that race. This looks no harder and she welcomes back Blake Spriggs who has steered her to victory previously. All four career victories have come on wet tracks so conditions here today look ideal. Although making her track debut here, she should still prove hard to beat.

Race 6: No.7 FOUR EGOS ($6 with Palmerbet)

Taree galloper FOUR EGOS is third-up today and sees the Port Macquarie track for the first time. Last start, the Casino Prince gelding finished strongly but arrived too late when finishing second in a Class 3 Hcp over 1412m on his home track. He ran that trip out, 7 lengths slower than benchmark, still the best in this line-up. He also posted the fastest final 800m, 600m and 200m sectionals for the race. A newcomer to this track, the five-year-old is already a winner when third-up and has Brooke Stower sticking with him after four previous podium finishes from as many rides on her resume. Fitter for those two runs back, he can figure here at odds today.
